joining us is congress woman ileana ros-lehtinen. >> what is your sense among colleagues about how close you are or aren't going to be to avoiding sequestration? >> i let's see if we've gotten happening. sequestration it means draconian cuts even though the military is not a big chunk of the budget they will take an indiscriminately large cut. for the military here we are fighting in afghanistan and spread out all over the world. for us to have what essentially will be the smallest military before world war ii to that level even though the threats against us are even greater. a devastating cut to the military. we exempted 150 programs. thank goodness, social security, medicare and medicaid but not to the providers of those services. would we will be hearing from the hospitals et cetera soon. i don't see any movement, shannon, in congress to undo this. i don't see it. march 1 is right upon us. >> shannon: it is very, very close. the president during one of the presidential debates, though, kind of i don't want to say dismissed the idea but said sequestration is not going to happen. congre
